The TV Chick talks to Kat Graham: “One of the things that motivates Bonnie is compassion.”

How much does she blame herself for Caroline turning?
I think enough to really make her want to help her and do what she can to make Caroline’s situation better. But at the end of the day, I stand by Bonnie, and her [thinking] “If these vampires hadn’t come to town, my grandma would still be here.” And people think Bonnie makes these decisions knowing the end of the episode — these are characters that have no idea what’s going to happen from the actions that they do. And I think that if Bonnie knew that Caroline was going to become a vampire, I don’t think she would have pressured Damon to give her the blood. But she didn’t know. She had no idea Katherine was going to go in there and do that. She had no idea that Tyler Lockwood was going to get into an accident and crash the car and Caroline would be in the hospital. These characters — people forget that they have no idea what’s going to happen if they do certain actions. So I think she feels — obviously as guilty as you can when you know you made a mistake — but at the same time — she made a mistake but she’s spending more time trying to figure out how do we fix this? How do we make this better?

Kat Graham Talks Scary Spice and Cold Hearted Snake With Crushable

Here’s a great interview with Kat Graham by Crushable. She talks about what the girls might go as for Halloween..Spice Girls! Drinking soda while eating Pop Rocks and some predictions.

Crushable: Any plans for Halloween?

Kat: I think the girls from the cast and I are going to stay in Atlanta this year. I’m really hoping we can pull off the Spice Girls for a costume. I really want to be Scary Spice, finally, after all these years!

Crushable: Ha, Mel B.! She has the new reality show out.

Kat: I know, I really want to watch it and see how accurate I am.

Crushable: It’s a Scary World.

Kat: It’s a Scary World, with Mel B.! And Nina (Dobrev) would be Posh, and Kayla Ewell would be sporty, and Candice Accola would be Baby.

Crushable: We might be going as the two guys from Mythbusters.

Kat: What’s that?

Crushable: I don’t know…these two guys go around and I think…bust myths?

Kat: Oh, I know one. Pop rocks and soda won’t kill you. I didn’t even know that they might, I only heard about it after I had already done it.

Crushable: Wait, you just tried to drink soda while eating Pop Rocks without knowing that was an urban legend?

Kat: Yeah! Why not?

Katerina Graham to Crushable: “I’m really addicted to my own show.”

Crushable
: Wow, you can combine anything these days. Well, as someone who plays a psychic on TV, can you make some predictions about the upcoming seasons of your favoirte shows?
Kat: I really love The Office. I know Steve Carell is leaving, but I think the characters are really strong right now, and it’s my favorite show, so I think it will keep going on. Vampire Diaries is going to take huge turn, and people are going to be shocked the way things develop so quickly. For life? I predict I’ll get involved with more charities and continue to do human rights activism, so yeah…I predict it’s going to a really great holiday season!

AOL’s TV Squad chats with Kat Graham about a love interest for Bonnie and more

Are there going to be any surprise guests this season?

We have a really great guest star who comes on in the first few episodes, a really cute guy the girls will love. There’s always some really great characters being introduced and fun new actors who join our little family. [It's] always fun to have them be a part of our lives for a little bit.

Kat Graham Discusses Bonnie’s Relationships With TV Guide

Here’s another great interview with Kat Graham, this time with TV Guide. She discusses where all her relationships stand, specifically her relationship with Caroline after the most recent turn of events, and what we can expect from Bonnie in tonight’s episode, “Brave New World”.

TVGuide.com: Will Bonnie and Elena ever be as close as they once were?

Graham: I don’t think the relationship with Bonnie and Elena will ever go back to the way it was. I think they can be friends and they can still be close, [but] it’s different. We all have those friends we have serious problems with, but you know they would die for you.

TVGuide.com: Do you see the vampires and witches ever aligning?

Graham: For the benefit of a life, yeah. Just for the benefit of the vampires? No, I don’t think Bonnie would do that.

VGuide.com: What about Bonnie and Stefan or Damon?

Graham: I don’t know if it’s never going to happen, but I don’t know about a friendship. They’re going to have to work their asses off to get Bonnie to even like them. I think if it helped Elena, she would definitely work with them and I think that says a lot about Bonnie.

TVGuide.com: How does Bonnie take her anger out on Damon in the second episode?

Graham: She keeps her promise, I will say that, and she will do something unthinkable.

TVGuide.com: How will the dynamic between Bonnie and Caroline [Candice Accola] change after what happened during the premiere’s final scene?

Graham: Caroline’s always been the chatty, blonde, silly frenemy, and now that that’s changed. It’s left them all in a vulnerable place, especially Caroline. Bonnie wouldn’t ever just cut anyone off for no reason. If they were really not going to be friends anymore, it would have to be because of something Caroline did. No matter what Caroline is, it would have to be something awful. Other than that, Bonnie is pretty accepting of the fact that her friends are a little different. I think Elena choosing a vampire is just as strange as Bonnie being a witch, personally.

Kat Graham Talks Bonnie’s Guilt and Caroline’s Game Changing Storyline

This was posted on PopWrap bright and early on Friday morning after the premiere. I tweeted it, but somehow it slipped my mind to post it here. An awesome interview with Kat Graham. As always, SPOILER ALERT to those that haven’t watched the premiere yet.

PW: Last night we saw Bonnie continuing to work with The Salvatore brothers despite her season finale declaration — will that continue?

Kat: I hope so. As of right now, [they're filming episode 6] yes. She’s still getting dragged into making the decision between helping The Salvatore’s or not. She doesn’t want to help them but if it has to do with protecting Elena or Caroline or the mortals … they’re her weak spot. That’s her family, so she can’t really say no to that – but she won’t stop trying to stop the vampires.

PW: On that tip, Bonnie was the one who told Damon to heal Caroline with his blood, so the fact she might now be a vampire lies squarely on her shoulders. How much guilt will we see Bonnie feeling next week?

Kat: There’s a lot of guilt there – she’s thinking, “if I had never done this, then none of this would have happened.” But she still blames Damon. She still blames Stefan. Bonnie knows that if they hadn’t come to town in the first place none of this would have happened. One friend would have still been alive, the other would still be normal and her grams wouldn’t have died. There’s a guilt there and a sense of “I don’t want to deal with this” but simultaneously a need to fix it. At the bottom of her heart, she believes that the vampires are the reason this is all happening – and they are, darn it! [laughs]

PW: Tonight ended with a huge shocker — Katherine killed Caroline, seemingly turning her into a vampire — how much does the fallout from that change the direction of season two?

Kat: It affects it completely. When that happened, it altered anything me, Kat Graham, would have thought could happen in episode two. When I read the script, I was like “already? We’re already going there? What are we going to do for episode two?!?” But that’s just the genius of [creators] Kevin [Williamson] & Julie [Plec] – they can create these amazing storylines that completely capture you to the point where you have to watch next week. We’re shooting episode six right now and that moment is still affecting the storyline – it has a huge impact on all the characters and changes everything. Then you have this whole werewolf situation, there’s a lot going on, so you have to watch every episode and pay attention to everything.

Kat Graham: ‘Every episode has something that makes you scream at the TV’

PW: Out of the six, which episode, for you, had the biggest jaw dropping moment?

Kat: I definitely feel like Caroline’s “death” in the first episode is one of the biggest shocks … but the third episode is really nuts too. Something happens where the fate of a main character is left up in the air. Literally every episode has something that makes you fall off your couch and scream at the TV [laughs] it’s just that kind of show. In the third episode, Bonnie does something completely shocking. Four and five show a lot of Katherine and episode six is a huge turner as well – it changes the fate, again, of the rest of the season.

JSYK chats with Nina Dobrev and Katerina Graham

Yup, witches will probably fall into that stuck-in-the-middle category. Katerina reveals that the show is currently filming episode six and she hasn’t dealt with any werewolves yet, but says, “Witches are kind of in the middle of everything. Always. The humans and the vampires. The vampires and the werewolves…People are going to want to manipulate Bonnie to get what they want. I think that goes for anyone who’s trying to become powerful or strong or destroy any other supernatural creature. They’re going to want to use Bonnie.”

Katerina on which Salvatore brother she prefers: “I’d take them both.”

Now that evil vampire Katherine is back in Mystic Falls, Nina Dobrev is getting a chance to show off her dark side — and she’s taking her rage out on Katerina Graham’s Bonnie! “It’s very odd to have one of your best friends suddenly grabbing your neck,” Katerina tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively about her face-off against Nina. “But she’s playing a character and doing a great job.”

I can imagine it would feel odd, especially considering how close all the cast members are when the cameras stop rolling! Katerina tells us she recently went out with a bunch of her co-stars — including Nina, Steven R. McQueenSara Canning and Candice Accola – for a joint birthday celebration (Katerina recently turned the big 2-1, while Steven turned 22.)

But there is one question even Katerina can’t seem to answer: Which Salvatore brother she prefers, Paul Wesley’s Stefan or Ian Somerhalder’s Damon!

“I like really intense, smart guys like Stefan could be,” she tells us. “But also playful, funny and sarcastic like Damon. Very daring. I’d take them both. I’m greedy!”

We certainly can’t blame Katerina for not being able to choose between the vampire brothers. Fortunately, HollywoodLifers, you don’t have to choose! You can have Stefan, Damon and the entire Mystic Falls crew when The Vampire Diaries returns for its second season at 9 p.m. TONIGHT (Sept. 9) on The CW.

The Vampire Diaries Star Katerina Graham on Sparks With Damon and Being Team Stefan

Just in time for The Vampire Diaries’ second season premiere, I chatted with Katerina Graham, who plays Bonnie on the series. She spilled the beans on whom she thinks Elena should be with and a possible love connection between Bonnie and a certain sexy vampire (though she played it very, very coy). Graham dished on the new werewolves, and also revealed her fever for a young man named Justin Bieber.

BuzzSugar: What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
Katerina Graham: I’m really excited about the season premiere, honestly. There have been so many episodes shot after that — we’re on episode six — but I’m really dying to see the season premiere, I’m just dying!

Buzz: Has it been weird acting with Nina Dobrev as Katherine and Elena now?
KG: No! Nina’s always great to do scenes with, and just because she’s a new character she’s still very much Nina Dobrev, still very much that person to work with. She’s handling Katherine really really well.

Buzz: I’ve noticed some sexual tension between Damon and Bonnie.
KG: I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Buzz: Is there any possibility of a love connection between them?
KG: I don’t know . . . that’s the answer! Next question, next question!

Buzz: Is there a chance of another love interest for Bonnie then?
KG: I think there’s a chance, but do I know if it’s going to happen? I don’t. [But] hopefully. It would be nice!

Buzz: Are we going to see Bonnie kicking ass this season?
KG: Oh, yeah, from the jump she’s kicking ass. She’s going to try — although she might not succeed sometimes, she’s going to be trying to kick ass. She’s going to be doing her thing.

Buzz: How will the addition of werewolves affect the show?
KG: It completely affects the show, it alters everything that you might have thought the show was gong to be. Werewolves are going to play such an important part this season. I know that notoriously vampires and werewolves don’t get along, so that creates a whole other conflict for everyone to deal with, and then Katherine’s back, that’s a whole other thing. It’s so interesting to see how they’re all playing with each other. And I don’t think any of them are going to play nice.

Buzz: Will Bonnie be discovering more of her powers?
KG: Absolutely. She also discovers things she can do easily and certain things she’s learning and still developing. Over time we’ll discover more of her abilities, which is always fun for the fans to see.

Buzz: Will we see Bonnie happy again?
KG: Yeah! She’s trying. I think if you lose anyone you’re going to be bummed out, and that’s OK. She’s a bit edgier this year, definitely, but she’s still got the sense of humor and I always like to find the fun in the scenes.

Buzz: Is she always going to hate Stefan, and vampires in general?
KG: I don’t know if she’s always going to hate anyone, but I definitely feel that she’ll never let certain things go. She’ll never let the things that Damon’s done go, and she’ll never let the things that Stefan’s done go. She can maybe forgive them, but Bonnie doesn’t forget anything.

Buzz: So spill, are you Team Damon or Team Stefan?
KG: I would love to see Elena with Stefan because he really loves her. [It's a] no boundaries kind of love, and I believe in that and I believe in being with the people that are like that. I think that Damon hasn’t quite gotten over his ex yet. But we’ll see; plotlines can change and I can think that by the end of the season, I could think that Stefan hasn’t earned Elena. Damon hasn’t earned Elena. I think he’s got a lot to get over, especially the things that he’s done to Jeremy and the things he’s done to the family, and the things that he’s done to me. We’ll see. He could turn out to really prove himself. I think everyone deserves another chance.

Buzz: You were recently in Justin Bieber’s “Somebody to Love” video. Do you have Bieber fever?
KG: I totally have Bieber fever! Everyone around me has Bieber fever! We looove Justin Bieber. Everyone in my music camp is big supporters of him, and vice versa. He’s been very supportive of me and my music.

Buzz: Does Bieber watch The Vampire Diaries?
KG: He’s very aware of it! I don’t know how much time he has to watch TV, but he’s aware of it. I think he would make a great vampire.

Buzz: It would be awesome if you could get him to guest star.
KG: I know, fingers crossed!
