Vampire Diaries Scoop: Seven Things You’re Dying to Know…

7. Alaric May be Safe… for Now:
“Kevin and I both feel so strongly that that character is a man,” Plec explains. “He’s got a maturity. He’s got gravitas. He’s a really important character to have on the show and, because his own personal journey kind of arced out with Isobel’s storyline at the end of last season, we’re just biding our time and waiting for the moment to start his new journey. And we’ve promised him that it will happen and we can’t wait to get into it.”

Ian Somerhalder and Candice Accola talk Vampire Diaries: “This is a show that deals with real-life issues.”

What were your expectations when you signed on last season?

Somerhalder: “I’ve been around long enough to not have expectations, because you’re immediately setting yourself up for disappointment. But I could tell we had the chance to make a quality show, and I think we’re accomplishing that.”

Accola: “Any expectations I had have been completely shattered, because the character I play is so different from what I initially auditioned for. I mean, it’s still Caroline, but she’s very different.”

Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec to The TV Chick: “2.06 is fun.”

There’s so much story so far this season. Are you confident it will take you through 22 episodes?

KW: Yes. I mean, we are already into the third season. We are actually trying to figure out the breaking point. Where are we going to stop at the end of this season? We kind of know where our season finale. We know what we want the last — I know a couple of the cliffhangers already, at least a lot of them, and I’m trying to figure out “where do I stop?” It’s so much fun. It’s a hard show to write. There’s a lot of mythology. I like slowing it down for the relationship stuff. So you don’t know how far we’re going to get.

Taylor Kinney interviewed by TV Guide, Fancast & Collider: ” It’s [the moonstone] more powerful than you’d think.”

TVGuide.com: Will the tension between Mason and Damon progress?

Kinney: It’s been a boxing match from the start. Mason was trying to be cool; he didn’t come to Mystic Falls to kill vampires. It’s why he chains himself up … because he knows what can happen if he does turn. Mason offers a hand and says, “Let’s squash this and be cool, I’m not your enemy,” and then [Damon] tries to kill Mason. There’s a huge amount of tension there and every week it’s going to escalate. They’re not going to be sitting at the bar drinking beers anytime soon.

Head over to TV Guide to read the rest of the chat.

Why does Katherine want the moonstone?
You have to watch.  I can tell you that it has a lot of power. It can do a lot of things.  It’s evolved since we started, since talking with Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec about storyline and where things are going to go.  I can’t say for sure what it does, but I can tell you it can do a lot.

Check the entire story out at Fancast.

Will viewers learn how Mason and Katherine came to be working together?

KINNEY: There’s always variables and questions. Not everything is so cut and dry. We saw, in the last episode, that they’ve known each other for a year, but you don’t necessarily know the entire background. Viewers will understand more as the episodes go on, but I don’t think they’re going to see an exact courtship just because Katherine is a mysterious character. Part of her charm is that you don’t know that much about her, she doesn’t give that much away and you don’t necessarily know her intentions. She can be charming and come across as really honest and with good intentions, and then completely turn, even in that relationship. Mason is with her, but I think they both have a couple of cards up their sleeve.

“This season in Mystic Falls, the past is coming back for something, though it is not clear for what yet,” he said. “Katherine, Elena’s look-alike, is back. We have not seen the worst of Katherine yet. Next week’s episode (which airs tonight) will be a game-changer.

The TV Chick talks to Kat Graham: “One of the things that motivates Bonnie is compassion.”

How much does she blame herself for Caroline turning?
I think enough to really make her want to help her and do what she can to make Caroline’s situation better. But at the end of the day, I stand by Bonnie, and her [thinking] “If these vampires hadn’t come to town, my grandma would still be here.” And people think Bonnie makes these decisions knowing the end of the episode — these are characters that have no idea what’s going to happen from the actions that they do. And I think that if Bonnie knew that Caroline was going to become a vampire, I don’t think she would have pressured Damon to give her the blood. But she didn’t know. She had no idea Katherine was going to go in there and do that. She had no idea that Tyler Lockwood was going to get into an accident and crash the car and Caroline would be in the hospital. These characters — people forget that they have no idea what’s going to happen if they do certain actions. So I think she feels — obviously as guilty as you can when you know you made a mistake — but at the same time — she made a mistake but she’s spending more time trying to figure out how do we fix this? How do we make this better?

‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Ian Somerhalder Speculates About Damon’s Past

Movie Trailers - Movies Blog

Executive producer Julie Plec answers your burning questions: “No one is ever safe.”

Backing up a little bit, why turn Caroline and not someone else?

Julie: We love Candice Accola [the actress who plays her] so much. We love the bubbliness and the fun, the zest and the sass that she brings to the show as an actress and we thought it would be really fun to explore that kind of persona in vampire form which I think has been successful for us. She brings a levity and a sweetness and feistiness to our vampire story line which I enjoy seeing. It’s an extra source of humor and an extra source of heart that is really helping us.

Paul Wesley on KTLA Morning News

The TV Chick chat with Steven R. McQueen: “Jeremy’s going to take control.”

Would you say that Jeremy’s fully forgiven Elena?

I think at this point, Elena’s the only family he has left. He lost his parents. He’s lost the two girls that he loved. Elena is the only connection to the human world that he has left besides his family responsibilities. So, though he still doesn’t fully trust her, he loves her with all his heart and he’ll do anything to protect her.

And will Jeremy have any Katherine interactions perhaps?
Watch the next couple of episodes. Definitely. He gets involved in that world, and if you’re getting involved in the vampire world, you’re bound to run into Katherine, cause she’s kind of the showrunner.

The Vampire Diaries’ Salvatore brothers make Top 31 Sexiest Vampires

2. The Vampire Diaries’ Damon Salvatore
Played by: Ian Somerhalder
When The Vampire Diaries hit screens in 2009, the team were no doubt expecting clean-cut, All-American hero Stefan would be the show’s pin-up. Little did they know that teenage girls (and their mothers) everywhere would wind up lusting after Damon, Stefan’s evil, malevolent, but downright SEXY big bro.

12. The Vampire Diaries’ Stefan Salvatore
Played by: Paul Welsey
Like many teenagers, high school vampire Stefan suffers with his hormones. But, unlike everyone else, this means that his eyes turn blood-red and his skin goes pale and veiny whenever he sees his love interest Elena. Could be a bit of a problem, that.

Two new Vampire Diaries posters: “Any chance their love had is dead” + “They both want her. Dead”

November is coming and The CW has some nice gifts for the Vampire Diaries loyal fans! Two new posters premiered last week – one of Stefan and Katherine and one of Stefan, Damon and Katherine. The reason we think it’s Katherine on the both posters is their taglines – “Any chance their love had is dead” and “They both want her. Dead.” First, we’re 99% sure any chance Stefan and Elena’s love had is so not dead. And as we already know, there are no chances of Elena turning into a vampire in the near future. Julie Plec offers a Plan B sneak peek to WetPaint: “Katherine is up to no good times a thousand.”

Now that we know Katherine and Mason are in cahoots, Plec says we’ll also start to get answers about Mason: why he’s working with Lady Piece, what he wants from her, and vice versa. Apparently, it’s not at all what we think. On the same tip, Plec says, “Damon’s reaction to learning that Katherine and Mason are together is also surprising. How he handles it. What he does about it.”

Kevin Williamson to Jim Halterman: “There’s a world for Meredith [Sulez].”

JH: Now, we just had a rerun so what can we all mouth water over in anticipation for this coming week’s new episode, “Plan B?”

KW: The next episode is the one right before our Halloween episode. We sort of have a two-parter (“Plan B” and “Masquerade”) where we set up the Masquerade Ball at the Lockwood estate. It’s something that the Mayor had already put into motion before he died so they carry through with it. It is where they sort of put a plot in motion to once and for all take care of Katherine and it’s a very Katherine-focused episode. It’s all about saving everyone and doing away with Katherine.

We honestly don’t know is this Kat or Elena with Damon, but one thing we know for sure: Ian Somerhalder is pure hotness in a suit (and so is Paul Wesley)! Thanks to Blood Falls for these!

Show Tracker talks to Ian Somerhalder: “It’s [this season] synonymous with Katherine.”

There’s a masquerade ball episode coming up. Does Damon take a date with him?

No. Damon actually doesn’t take a date with him. He and Stefan have a lot of stuff to deal with. Last year, when Damon came to town, every notion he had, every desire he had, there was a lot of cause and effect. There was a ripple effect to every action Damon made. Now, this season and however long it’s going to go, it’s synonymous with Katherine. At the masquerade, Damon and Stefan are kind of forced to deal with Katherine in a way which is not easy on anybody. She’s as ruthless as Damon was in season one and more. She’ll stop at nothing to get what she wants. It’s just what she does.

Taylor Kinney interview with Celebuzz: “It’s going to escalate.”

Last week the huge bombshell was dropped – Mason is one of the countless dudes under vampire Katherine’s (Nina Dobrev’s) spell.  Will Mason be another one of her casualties?

Mason’s not that naïve. He geniuinely has an affection and passion for Katherine. As of now, if there’s any possibility of her trying to manipulate a situation to get one up on him, maybe he’s molded a little, but I don’t think he cares. It’s one of those things where he met her, say a year ago, and he fell in love with her. That’s in the forefront of his mind.

Vampire Diaries Shocker Via E!Online

Although, we all have had the feeling that this is going to happen. It’s been hinted in interviews, discussion panels, etc. Today Kristin from E!Online dropped the dreaded bomb and offered up confirmation and some more details.

Spoiler Alert for those that don’t want to know. I’m guessing as time passes and “it” gets closer, even more details will be revealed.

According to reliable sources, The Vampire Diaries will be killing off one of its characters. And it won’t be the Jeremy-got-his-neck-snapped-but-was-wearing-a-magic-ring kind of death. This one will be for good. The character will be no more. And the actor will no longer be working on the show.

That’s all we can reveal because we don’t have our own magic ring, but suffice to say it will be some TV that is dipped in all kinds of awesome—even though the actor will certainly be missed.

So who is it? Guesses?

Vampire Diaries Casting: Lauren Cohan Joins Cast As “Rose”

Thanks to Carina Mackenzie of Zap2It for posting this exciting news! Lauren Cohan (best known for her role on Supernatural, as Bela Talbot), has been cast as “Rose”. Here’s the scoop!

Rose is over 500 years old and described as disarmingly elegant despite a “tough girl” first impression. Five centuries of bloodsucking have given her a certain edge. “Maybe there’s some humanity left in her — have fun finding it,” my source says.

She’s expected to make her first appearance in Episode 8, titled “Rose” — yeah, she’s kind of a big deal.

Ian Somerhalder to ETonline: “There are going to be a lot of twists and turns.”

ET
: Can you talk about the relationship between the brothers?

Ian Somerhalder: These two brothers have very different views on life. Damon has decided to not dismiss his heritage, which is unfortunately feeding on people. That is what you do. It is as if a human being had decided to stop eating. Stefan (Paul Wesley) — because of his love for people or his desire to not brutalize children — [doesn't feed on humans] which makes it difficult to hang out. There are going to be a lot of twists and turns that are going to illustrate how different we are and the bouncing back and forth of good to bad and bad to good.

Latest from TV Guide Magazine, Fancast & Watch With Kristin: Bonnie’s getting a groupie, permanent death coming

Doesn’t it seem like everyone knows everyone’s secrets on The Vampire Diaries? I wish there were more “innocents” in the cast now. — William
MICKEY: Well, I’ve got bad news, William. There’s going to be a new guy in Mystic Falls soon, and to paraphrase the bard Spears, he’s not that innocent. He’s a huge fan of the dark arts — and specifically, he knows an awful lot about the Bennett family. Put another way, Bonnie is getting a groupie, and she’s not happy about it at all! – TV Guide

You offered to elaborate on your NY Comic-Con tweets about ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ Any ideas on who Damon will bed, and who Jeremy’s love interest will be? – Tammy
After ‘TVD’ EP Kevin Williamson told me that Damon will get some nookie, I asked if it will be with someone currently on the canvas. Alas, I couldn’t tell if Kevin’s headshake meant “It is not someone we know” or “No, I will not tell you,” so I’ve got bupkus there. As for Jeremy’s love life, “You can expect a dabble with a capital D,” said EP Julie Plec. “And possibly with somebody we already know.” – Fancast

What did you mean when you tweeted that ‘Vampire Diaries’ Katherine shouldn’t buy any green bananas? Tell us more! – PaulaEdgar via Twitter
What I meant is that the preview reel played at Comic-Con showed Damon & Co. fortifying themselves with all manner of stakes, bows and spiked knuckles, in the name of taking down the nasty dame. Julie Plec, though, had this to tell me about their mission: “Anybody who thinks they’ve got a bead on Katherine is going to be sorely mistaken. I will say that in what they do, they learn just how diabolical she really is and the lengths she’s willing to go to. And yet when all is said and done, there’s a slight element of victory.” – Fancast

Official photos from NYCC, Katherine’s origin revealed, new interviews & videos

The Warner Brothers released some official shots from New York Comic Con a few days ago. You can see some below and click here for the rest.

Fancast had a nice chat with executive producers Julie and Kevin. They talk about Katherine’s original story, upcoming flashbacks and season 2 finale (yay!). Read the entire story at Fancast.

Adds exec producer Kevin Williamson, “We go back in time to show a lot about how Katherine (played by Nina Dobrev) came to become who she was. We answer a lot of questions” – including a few burning ones concerning her ties to the Petrova clan, her beginnings as a bloodsucker, and why she’s an undead ringer for Elena.

The cast also chatted to IO9. They discuss their characters, the show in general. Check out an excerpt below and head over to IO9 to read the rest of the article (thanks, @SYcinetwilove!).

McQueen said Jeremy wants “in” and has valuable information. He may have a new, “dabbling” love interest, as yet unwritten — but it could be someone that we know. Meanwhile, Roerig said Matt may learn the truth about what’s happening in Mystic Falls — but it won’t be from anyone you’d expect.

Nice Girls TV also had the chance to interview some of the Vampire Diaries stars. They met Kevin Williamson and Zach Roerig. The two reveal what to except on the show this season, what’s ahead for Matt and Caroline, possible friendship for him and Stefan and more.

And finally, Poptimal.com have wonderful, 10-minutes long interviews with everyone attended Comic Con. Sara, Kat, Steven, Julie, Kevin and Zach talk about everything you can think of LOL. Thanks to Diarios do Vampiro for the heads up!

30 stills for 2.07 Masquerade, first look at Lucy

Enjoy some magnificent images below and head over to Vampire Diaries Web to see the rest! And have fun guessing who is who.

Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec talk about Delena: “We’ve got a long way to go.”

The neck-snapping incident that drove a wedge between the two former friends was arguably the most shocking moment we’ve seen yet in a series that surprises me in every act. Plec says that she and Williamson were having lunch when he pitched her the idea, and she gasped out loud. “My jaw fell on the floor,” she recalls. “That is the most messed up, twisted, ridiculous, horrible thing, that is awesome. And if I’m having a reaction, as someone who’s heard everything, and I lose my mind over it – it blew my mind.”

The 5 best Vampire Diaries spoilers from NY Comic Con

Although we’ve heard about Katherine since nearly the beginning of the show, her exact backstory is still a giant mystery. But not for long. “[The ninth episode is] an origin tale – we go back in time and show how Katherine became who she is,” Kevin reveals. “We answer a lot of questions, we get into the Petrova line of it all. We flashback to 1492 Bulgaria, London, Romania. We show how she started and why she was necessary to the story of the vampires.”

But that won’t be the only time traveling season two serves up. “We have four [flashbacks] planned,” Kevin adds. And by Thanksgiving, fans will know exactly why Katherine returned to Mystic Falls thanks to a shocking moment akin to Damon’s tomb reveal in season one. “That all explodes over the next four episodes,” Julie teases.

David Anders possibly returning this season, Stefan and Damon team up

Jess: What’s ahead on The Vampire Diaries?
Don’t expect Damon and Stefan to become brothers of the BFF variety, but Ian Somerhalder tells us the two will be working together for time being. “There’s camaraderie because Damon and Stefan know that in order to protect themselves, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and the town from werewolves and Katherine, they have to set these differences aside. These two have had every opportunity to kill each other and they can’t do it. They love each other.” Isn’t it bromantic? – Watch With Kristin

I’m dying to know if we’ll see David Anders again on Vampire Diaries this season. —Addison

MICKEY: He did kind of disappear without much fanfare, right? The truth is that he might be gone now, but in the season-long struggle against Katherine, it’s going to be Elena’s closest relatives — blood and otherwise — who come to her rescue. And as any fan knows, that is one gnarly family tree. – TV Guide Magazine

Lucy, a sexy, hard core vampire is going to take Elena, but only to entice another uber-powerful vamp named Phillipe. Elena is exactly what Phillipe has been wanting and Lucy wastes no time letting him know she has his prize. During Elena’s captivity with Rose she learns some unnerving truths.

  • Lucy isn’t going to kill Elena, someone else is/or at least planning to.
  • Stefan, her soul-mate, used to be a ripper.
  • A ripper is a vampire with no self control, that just rips you apart and feeds.

As we learnt from Michael Ausiello a few weeks ago, Lucy will be played by Natashia Williams, an almost-finalist in American Idol season 7. And according to “Masquerade” description we posted yesterday, she will come forward in episode 7.

What do you think? Will Lucy unite with Katherine or some other vampire? Or she will join the do-gooder team?

Two new recurring characters in episode 9

Luka, 17, African American: He’s a new kid at school and Alaric asks Bonnie and Jeremy to show him around. Luka asks Bonnie about the Bennet name and whether she knows about the Salem witches. Later Jeremy gives him a tour of the school, Jeremy says that Sheila taught a class on witches at the university and that Jeremy’s dad followed her work, was a believer and wrote his dissertation on witches. Jeremy says Bonnie is not like that, Luka says she’s cute.

Joanes, 38, Luka’s dad: Alaric runs into Luka and Joanes at the Mystic Grill. Luka and his dad get along very well. Joanes notes that he and Alaric have a lot in common (history lovers) and they have a beer together. Jenna is there with Alaric. In a different scene Joanes reprimands Luka for telling “her” too much about himself. Luka says that she would have figured it out anyway.

Official synopsis of 2.07 Masquerade

DEATH AT THE MASQUERADE BALL
— Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) decide on a new plan to deal with Katherine (Nina Dobrev) at the Lockwood’s masquerade ball.  Katherine calls on an old friend, Lucy (guest star Natashia Williams), to attend the ball with her.  Bonnie (Katerina Graham), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Alaric (Matt Davis) all do what they can to help Stefan and Damon, but Katherine has a surprise planned that none of them could foresee.  Things take an ugly turn when Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) start doing shots with their friends.

Candice Accola: It’s pretty boring when everybody lives happily ever after

PW: Which is?

Candice: She’s no longer held back by the things or people around her. Which can be bad because if you only do what you want with no concern for other people’s feelings – or safety – bad things can happen. But at the same time, if you’re controlled by everyone else’s feelings, that’s also really bad as well. Vampire Caroline is defining herself. It’s an extreme version of herself. It gets really crazy from here on out.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers – TV Guide Mega Buzz

TV Guide has a little Vampire Diaries scoop in this week’s Mega Buzz:

I’m dying to know if we’ll see David Anders again on Vampire Diaries this season. — Addison

Ford Fiesta Presents: Inside The Vampire Diaries With Candice Accola

This was released by the CW last Thursday during the episode. Candice Accola goes behind the scenes on the set of The Vampire Diaries, and in this first video clip, she talks to Kevin Williamson and both answer questions that fans sent in via their official Facebook page. Click the screencap below to take you to the CW site!

Kevin on the werewolf plotline and Damon & Katherine relationship: “We know what we’re leading to and who’s going to die.”

“The fun thing about Katherine is that she can play Damon at his own game and then up it,” says Williamson. And of course, with so many wars raging among the supernaturally inclined around these parts, Williamson warns that there will be casualties as the season proceeds: “We know what we’re leading to and who’s going to die. By developing that, we know what next year looks like.” Let’s just hope our Mystic Falls faves survive to see it, too!

More quotes from E! Online interview with Ian Somerhalder

“We learned a lot, and maybe in 10 years we’ll really realize what happened, why the government didn’t step in more,” Ian says of the oil spill’s ultimate outcome. “It’s really a shame how we handled it. We lost a giant ecosystem because of it. But it taught us a great deal.”

Ultimately, the message from the talented thesp and do-gooder is this: “We can’t let this happen again. We can never see this again in our lifetime. Ever, actually—screw our lifetimes. That’s the goal, to never see this again. And it never should happen again.”

Nina Dobrev: Everyone’s world is going to change

PW: What can you tease about tonight’s episode?

Nina: It seems like every time we go back to the 1864, we learn more from someone else’s perspective – and now it’s Katherine’s turn to tell the story. What she did, how she did it, why she did it and how it affected everything. It’s interesting to see how things can be misconstrued and twist your whole world. It’s going to change every character’s world once they find out. It’s also interesting to see Katherine toy with everyone. This episode is all about that. She’s working all the angles and blindsiding everyone. She’s got the upper hand.

Kat Graham Talks Scary Spice and Cold Hearted Snake With Crushable

Here’s a great interview with Kat Graham by Crushable. She talks about what the girls might go as for Halloween..Spice Girls! Drinking soda while eating Pop Rocks and some predictions.

Crushable: Any plans for Halloween?

Kat: I think the girls from the cast and I are going to stay in Atlanta this year. I’m really hoping we can pull off the Spice Girls for a costume. I really want to be Scary Spice, finally, after all these years!

Crushable: Ha, Mel B.! She has the new reality show out.

Kat: I know, I really want to watch it and see how accurate I am.

Crushable: It’s a Scary World.

Kat: It’s a Scary World, with Mel B.! And Nina (Dobrev) would be Posh, and Kayla Ewell would be sporty, and Candice Accola would be Baby.

Crushable: We might be going as the two guys from Mythbusters.

Kat: What’s that?

Crushable: I don’t know…these two guys go around and I think…bust myths?

Kat: Oh, I know one. Pop rocks and soda won’t kill you. I didn’t even know that they might, I only heard about it after I had already done it.

Crushable: Wait, you just tried to drink soda while eating Pop Rocks without knowing that was an urban legend?

Kat: Yeah! Why not?

TV Fanatic Exclusive Interview With Candice Accola

TV Fanatic has rolled out another Vampire Diaries cast interview today, this time with the lovely Candice Accola. She dishes on Caroline’s life as a vampire.

Caroline is one bad-ass vamp! Pretty sure everyone fell in love with vampire Caroline from the “you suck” line.
Yes she is! Julie Plec actually told me about that line before we got that script. She was talking about it since they had already plotted out that episode. I anticipated that line for a while, so I was very excited to shoot it.

What can we look for in season two?
Action, action, action. This season is very fast-paced. The first season told the story, and second season… just hold on for the ride.

Do you think Caroline took it easy on Damon, considering everything he put her through?
Definitely. At the same time, Caroline is very new to this whole world of being a vampire and what she’s capable of and what she’s not capable of. In order to become a vampire, part of you dies. It’s a very, traumatizing thing. That fact that Damon has already tried to kill her again… she doesn’t know how powerful he is. In her mind, what if he’s as powerful as Katherine? I think there’s only so much playing with fire you want to do when you’re already half dead. It’d be a little scary to push his buttons too much until she knows what she’s capable of, and more importantly what he is capable of.

Nina Dobrev Talks to New York Post PopWrap

Jarett of PopWrap caught up with Nina Dobrev and she spills quite a bit about tonight’s episode and talks about her recent injury.

PW: I’ll say — watching you pull double duty this season. Has it been fun playing two characters full time?
Nina: It’s been really intense but in a good way. Every single day is a constant challenge and I’m never bored or just sitting around. I’m always being stimulated and these characters are so much fun. Going through all the different shades of playing sweet Elena while also being so ambiguous, spontaneous and crazy as Katherine – it’s really, really cool.

PW: Everyone seems really amped about tonight’s flashback — are you?
Nina: I’m so excited for everyone to see it – it’s one of my favorite episodes so far. It’s very Elena/Katherine heavy. It’s all the elements of everything I love in one episode. We worked so hard and you’ll see that episode kind of leads up to my injury – there are two scenes I’m not in.

PW: So we can expect some Nina stunts tonight then?
Nina: It’s a lot of harness work. This year they’ve let me be suspended in midair and there’s animal work. I’ve been interacting with wild dangerous animals, which is cool. And it’s funny because they expect me to be squeamish because I’m a girl but I promise you there were crew men cowering and running away while I’m playing with these animals.

Vampire Diaries – Episode 2.04 – Memory Lane – BTS Photos

The CW has released a bunch of behind the scenes photos from tonight’s episode “Memory Lane”. Poor Ian, looks like he’s burning up in this first shot. ‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Ian Somerhalder Is ‘Humbled’ By Fan Support

“These fans, I owe them so much,” Ian said. “Not to sound cliché, we wouldn’t have this show [without them]. They are so unbelievably supportive of me and my work and my passions. It’s a very strange relationship; it’s like having this crazy support team, it’s almost how a family supports each other, it’s really bizarre and it’s really really cool,” he explained.

Katerina Graham to Crushable: “I’m really addicted to my own show.”

Crushable
: Wow, you can combine anything these days. Well, as someone who plays a psychic on TV, can you make some predictions about the upcoming seasons of your favoirte shows?
Kat: I really love The Office. I know Steve Carell is leaving, but I think the characters are really strong right now, and it’s my favorite show, so I think it will keep going on. Vampire Diaries is going to take huge turn, and people are going to be shocked the way things develop so quickly. For life? I predict I’ll get involved with more charities and continue to do human rights activism, so yeah…I predict it’s going to a really great holiday season!

Ian Somerhalder teases tonight’s Memory Lane: “It’s a very enlightening episode.”

“We’re going to learn a lot about this werewolf thing in tonight’s episode,” Ian tells us of “Memory Lane.” “Katherine is actually the one that explains a lot of what’s going on. It’s interesting to see where this whole thing came from in Mystic Falls—who knew about it [and] how vampires got involved. It’s a very enlightening episode.”

Zap2it interviews Candice Accola: “Caroline is in a very precarious situation.”

“It’s actually a very, very human story,” Accola says. “Look at it this way — there’s a point in your life where there’s something about you that your parents don’t agree with. Not that this was Caroline’s choice or her own doing, but now she has a lifestyle her parents don’t agree with. Is there still going to be that unconditional love that a mother’s supposed to have for her child? Is that going to still exist? It’s not just a vampire story. It’s a growing-up story.”
